Rev 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

The Valley of Armageddon (also called the Plain of Esdraelon and Jezreel Valley in the Bible) as seen from Mt. Carmel.

The Judgments of Rev up to Armageddon

The first four horses deal with the first four seals. None of the seals give a complete detail of all that happens. They are only a highlight of the judgments of God. All seven seals sum up the final judgments of God. The trumpet , and bowl judgments come out of the seals. Starting with Revelation eight we see the trumpet judgments, and in Revelation sixteen we see the vial or bowl judgments which actually are giving greater detail to what is in the seals Jesus is opening in Revelation chapter five.

The fifth seal- (Rev 6:9) reveals the martyrs under the altar which is the result of the fourth seal. World wide persecution on Christians, delivered up to be afflicted and killed, and hated of all nations (Matt 24:9).

The sixth seal- (Rev 6:12) We see a great earth quake, the heavens opened and the world sees Jesus sitting on the throne of God. They cry out for the rocks to fall on them, hiding in caves and dens. Christ is about to come in flaming fire upon the earth to take vengeance and pour out the wrath of God (Matt 24:29,30). We see a fast forward to the end of the tribulation period.

As I have already have said the trumpet and bowl judgments give greater detail to what happens as Jesus opens the seal judgments in chapter five.

Rev 8- Deals with the trumpet judgments, and  possibly the vial judgments which seem hard to separate because everything is happening so fast. But we are now in the second half of the tribulation period. Hail, and fire with third part of the earth is burned up. Also a third part of the sea is turned into blood. Along with all the rivers, and fountains of waters are turned into blood. In (Rev 9:1-6) we see the bottomless pit opened demonic activity scorpions stinging for five months people wanting to die but can not. In (Rev 9:13-16) we see the sixth trumpet sound and four angels are loosed that were bound in the Great Euphrates river. And an army of 200 million marching toward Jerusalem. And notice a third part of men die everything is in thirds. The seventh trumpets deals with the span from Rev 9:15 to chapter 16 where we see the bowl or vial judgments. *By the end of the seventh trumpet about a half of the worlds population has died. Which is about 3 to 4 billion people!

Rev 16- The bowl or vial judgments which takes us probably only weeks from Armageddon. Theirs grievous sores that fell on them that had the mark. The sea is turned to blood and every living soul dies in it. Not only a third but all the rivers and fountains of waters are turned to blood. The sun is intensified to scorch with fire. Darkness is only in the Antichrist's kingdom. Can you image they want water to sooth their sores, its all turned to blood, and when they seek shade from the scorching heat. God says you want shade try this, and gives them darkness.

Now we are very close to the battle of Armageddon. The sixth vial is poured out on the Euphrates river so that the army of 200 thousand in chapter 9 can cross over. Preparing the way for the Kings of the east. Its been estimated that the Antichrist's army along with others that are headed to Palestine are about 300 million or more. Spoken of as the supper of God. Where the blood will reach the horses bridle. They are headed to the hill of Megiddo. The Hebrew word in Revelation 16:16 means “Mount Megiddo. Many battles have been fought there. Because of its long history the name seems to have become symbolic of a battlefield. Deborah and Barak (Judges 4–5). Gideon was victorious over the Midianites and Amalekites (6–7). King Saul and his army were defeated by the Philistines (1 Samuel 31). Also, King Josiah was slain in battle by the Egyptian army of Pharaoh Necho (2 Kings 23:29) at Megiddo.

(Rev 16:13) And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.- Footnote great deception! The dragon is Satan who empowers the Antichrist, and the false prophet.

(Rev 16:14) For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

(Rev 16:15) Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

(Rev 16:16) And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

The seventh angel pored out his vial in the air (Rev 16:17-21). And theirs an earthquake such has never been in all the history of the world. The Antichrists kingdom is split in three parts. All nations and cities fall and every Island is moved out of its place. The Bible teaches in (Rev 6, and 16, Zach 14:1-5, and Isa 29:6-8). The ultimate fulfillment of these scriptures will be Armageddon. Its the greatest earthquake ever in history. Every mountain lowered ,every valley raised. The whole earth will be flattened like a plain. Only the city of Jerusalem will be lifted up. It will be called the mountain of the Lord. All Islands will move ,and flee away, and all the cotenants of the earth will come together. Everything will be renovated ,and changed in preparation of the coming millennial reign of Christ.

(Zec 14:3) Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

(Zec 14:4) And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

The Lord Himself will come ,and fight for Jerusalem, and His elect. The battle is really no battle at all. Its seen in (Rev 19). Jesus just speaks , and the its all over.

(Rev 19:11) And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

(Rev 19:14) And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. Footnote-This is us His Church coming back with Him to rule and reign with Him. After the rapture we've been in heaven for seven years.

(Rev 19:15) And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

(Rev 19:19) And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

(Rev 19:20) And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

(Rev 19:21) And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

In (Rev 1:16) the words that proceeded out of His mouth will be like a sharp two edged sword. Their it seems to speak of the words of His doctrine penetrating the hearts of people. But here it speaks of a work of destruction on His enemies. After Armageddon Jesus with us His Church will rule ,and reign with Him for a 1000 years. Then the final Judgment called the Great White throne Judgment. In which Jesus referred to as the resurrection unto damnation (John 5:26-29). Then their will be a new heaven and a new earth in which God will dwell with man forever. Time will be no more, and eternity will begin!
