                                                       The Existence of God

The existence of God is taken as a fact. Nowhere in the Bible does the Spirit through any writer try to prove His existence. The Bible simply says in the beginning God (Gen 1:1). (Rom 1:18-21) reveals a general revelation, and existence of himself that he has given to all mankind. His existence is known and felt even by the blind. For God has revealed himself to them. Although a special revelation is still needed to learn how to please Him, and have our sins forgiven. The reason mankind is blind spiritually is because of sin.

1. All creation argues his existence.

The universe is a system of thousands, and millions of galaxies. Creation speaks of the wisdom power, and knowledge of God. The size of the universe is staggering. The sun is so large that it could hold 1.3 million planets the size of earth inside it. It takes sunlight, traveling at 186,000 miles per second, about 8.5 minutes to reach earth. Yet that same light would take more than four years to reach the nearest star, Alpha Centauri, some 24 trillion miles from earth. The galaxy to which our sun belongs, the Milky way, contains hundreds of billions of stars. And astronomers estimate there's millions, or billions of galaxies. They're estimated the number of stars in our galaxy to be 1025. That's about the number of all the grains of sand on all the worlds beaches. Donald B. Young speaking about the Anthropic Principle. Which says the universe is carefully designed for the well being of mankind. Argues that a change in the rate of earths rotation around the sun or on its axis would be catastrophic. If the moon were much nearer to the earth, huge tides would inundate the continents. A change in the gases that make up our atmosphere would be fatal to life. A slight change in the mass of the proton would result in the destruction of the universe, because hydrogen is its dominate element.

2. Theirs the argument of design beauty, order, and arrangement.

There is no way a Cadillac could drive out of an explosion in a junk yard. In the same manner God has created everything with such complexity, and design proving that there must be a designer.

As the world order is not self-created, so it is not self-sustaining, as God is. The stability of the universe depends on constant divine upholding; this is a specific ministry of the divine Son (Col. 1:17; Heb. 1:3), and without it every creature of every kind, ourselves included, would cease to be. As Paul told the Athenians, “he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. . . . In him we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:25, 28).

3.There is the argument of our own nature.

We are not like the animals that live by instinct. We have a moral nature to reason right ,and wrong. Animals do not pray or go to Church. Nor do they desire to. God has created us with the capacity, and consciousness of Himself. That we may know Him, and seek after Him. A dog may be loyal to its master and even whine on his masters grave, but he cannot enter into his dreams and plans. Although even in our fallen state we can enter into the plans and purposes of God, and have true fellowship with Him through Christ. Adam and Eve were created in true holiness in there heart. They desired God, and desired to walk with God. But after the fall there desire was to hide from God. They were created not in just mere innocents but true holiness. That true holiness that was created after the image of God can be restored through Christ (Eph 4:24). Even though in mans fallen condition the stamp of Gods image still remains. Man has a moral nature he knows right and wrong, good, and evil. That moral since of good and evil is called our conscience either approving us or condemning us. The conscience testifies of a law within us, and a law giver who has given it.

4. Atheism

The Amazing Professor - Once I was a tadpole; When I began to begin; Then I was a frog; with my tail tucked in; Next I was a monkey; on a coconut tree; Now I am a doctor; with a PHD.

There is no scripture that speaks of atheism. The one commonly quoted in Ps 14:1 that says the fool has said in his heart there is no God. Is miss represented. The original transcripts do not have the words "there is". It simply reads the fool has said "no God". Paul quotes this verse and a few others in Rom chapter three speaking in contexts of the fallen human race. Actually the scripture in Ps 14:1 is revealing the heart of man in rebellion to God saying no God I will do what I want not what you want. This rebellious heart lies in every man woman and child born into this this world. Though in Rom chapter three Paul also reveals a downward spiral or progressiveness of mans rebellion toward God. So it is in the world today. Some having exercised themselves in unrighteousness can seer there conscience with a hot iron (1 Tim4:2). This does not only apply to atheism, but also to false religion as is the context of 1 Tim 4:2. Many would try to turn out the light of God and divine truth. Atheism goes farther by taking the light completely out of the room. Atheism along with many other sins is only a revelation of the sin stricken heart of mankind. But as Atheists go farther than most who love darkness. In there effort to completely remove the light from the room, so to speak. They are committing a crime not only to themselves, but also to society!
